GATE 2017 Eligibility Age Criteria International + Indians

Gate (graduate aptitude test in engineering) is conducted for post- graduation program admission at all India level by Indian institute of science and 7 IITs. The exam is a high level exam for which the candidates should be eligible to appear in the exam. It is essential for the candidates to have sufficient knowledge about gate documents for submission, age limit and other conditions. Check the below given GATE Eligibility and Age Limit Criteria for 2017 paper-

GATE 2017 Age limit: There is no age limit restriction for appearing in GATE

GATE Eligibility Details 2017: The final year students or already completed degree course candidates can apply in each case-

B.Tech/ B.E./ B.Pharm.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture
B.Arch.Bachelor’s degree in Architecture- 5 Years course

 

B.Sc. (Research)/ B.S.Bachelor’s degree in Science (Post Diploma/ 4 years after 10+2)

 

M. Sc./ M.A./MCAMaster’s degree holder in Mathematics/Science/Statistics/Computer Applications

 

Int. M.E/ M.Tech (Post-B.Sc.)Master’s degree program in Engineering/Technology (Post B.Sc) (2nd/ 3rd/ 4th year candidates may also apply)

 

Int. M.Sc/ Int. B.Sc/M.ScFinal year of five-year integrated Master In Science (M.Sc)
Int. M.E./ M.Tech or Dual Degree (after Diploma or 10+2)

Professional Society ExaminationB.E./B.Tech./B.Arch. equivalent examinations of Professional Societies recognized by MHRD/UPSC/AICTE (e.g., AMIE by Institution of Engineers-India, AMICE by the Institute of Civil Engineers-India)

GATE 2017 International Candidates: (Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and UAE)

Candidates who have completed Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Science in a relevant subject (can be in final year of the program)

NOTE 1): The conditions under which the student cannot give the GATE paper-

Third year students of engineering are not eligible for appearing in GATE

A diploma holder candidate in engineering is not eligible for appearing in GATE

A candidate studying in a re final year is not eligible for appearing in GATE

NOTE 2): The candidates can give the exam ample no. of times but it is valid for 2 years.

Decide the branch in which you wish to appear for because a candidate is allowed to appear in any one paper only. All the students who are degree holder of any mentioned above are required to submit the copy of mark sheet at the time of application and those who have not completed their course but are in second year or final year of their pursuing course are required to submit a certificate about the same from the principal of the college in which they are pursuing the running course.
