GATE Aptitude Syllabus for Verbal Ability will constitute the topic which are very common to see but require some logic to be solved. There are several daily life situations where we often calculate things. For example-

Verbal Analogies: The questions are of relationships based on vocabulary- meaning, antonym, synonym etc.
English Grammar: The questions are asked from- verbs, nouns, adjectives, adverbs, preposition, conjunction etc. The basic questions based on grammar of English are asked in exam.
Sentence Completion: The questions will be like- Which phrase best suits this blank, fill in the blanks etc.
Coding & Decoding: The questions are asked in which the coded phrases are to be decoded and then recoded with some other pattern.
Sentences & Conclusions: A sentence will be given followed by which there will be some conclusion phrases given. Out of these phrases, the best concluded sentences are chosen.
Odd Man series: A series will be made with some logic which has to be understood and then the odd man out has to be selected.
Missing Patterns: Same as odd man series, as per logic the blank has to be fulfilled.
This way all the questions of different types are to be practiced for the exam.
